Math says you've got about 60GB's for system restore, probably 50GB's installed by HP, and you added 45GB's. What you can do if you need some of those 67GBs (which is really a lot of shadowstorage - good for about 70 restore points), you can reduce the shadowstorage to I then restarted Audition and got the "restore previous session, or delete temp files?" message. Please run "df -h" and post the complete output here for a bit more understandable information about your disk usage.. check over here
Tens of gigabytes have gone AWOL...I've disabled System Restore, deleted restore points, ran CHKDSK, and I got some space back. Add in 'normal' temporary files and you can hit another 20GB's easily. It may not, but just be prepared.After all was said and done, I went from having 19GB of free space to 58GB of free space. *Much* better...A final note on backups: Disk Utility, Get Info, and DaisyDisk were all telling me different answers about how much disk space I had on my 256GB SSD (2013 Mac Book Air running Yosemite).

If you're still denied you can try taking ownership of the folder, granting yourself access. Those should add up correctly. If so, the default is to make a growable disk; the VM doesn't immediately grab the 15GB, but only as needed. The odd thing is that when I went to delete the largest remaining file, it took all of 10 seconds.
Sooo glad to have found I'm not only one. I manually looked for any temp files that might have been left over from the Audition crash, but I couldn't find anything. As I've experienced in the past, working on these large files temporarily eats into my available HD space, which makes sense as it is creating temp cache files while the audio
