Not sure what operating system you are using, or language, but the latest drivers I can find are 258.96. I have the 197.45 driver. It has it's own driver software visible in the Device Manager.
This PC is less than a month old and I've already done a clean OS install, I'm so ashamed...I'm running 306.97 and things seem great so far. Verify that the fans on the card are running properly and not clogged with killer dust bunnies. BIOS temporarily corrupt? If I can quick get down window with game before crush, after bringing widow back everything goes well without recovering. I just wanted to make sure it's not the card.

I monitor my temps and have never seen my card over 124 degrees farenheit and it generally runs around 116. It would only happen maybe once or twice a night so I just ignored it, but now its happening more frequently...to the point where I've had to close the game because I am running a 3 month old Alienware laptop with a GTX 260M with 1GB vid memory.
