Restarting sometimes makes for a better display though it is a transient improvement at best and sometimes makes it worse. by the way, i had omega drivers installed when this started happening. I hard rebooted it and at POST it froze and rapidly beeped, and finally the monitor came on and said "You have not connected the power line to your Radeon". navigate here It worked for the most part (I only had to downclock it about 10 mhz), but after that, I started getting the corrupted display on startup problems.

I don't think it was D3 specifically that was causing the probs. Then after reading on here that the PSU could be a problem, I took my 330W out and bout a new 420W. I changed the frequency of the crt and it is nowrunning. They told me that they found a "fault" with the card and that I will get a refund provided I send back the Driver CD, Software CD and the Manual.

I'm pretty frustrated with the situation, since practically I can't play any 3d game with this card. I can then return it e.g. S-video hook up. i have the exact same problem. The other day my DSL connection was having problems.
