I had to change an option on my old machine to get it hardware accelerated, even. On the PCI express card you will only see one row of contacts along the connector on the card. jrobs10-27-2009, 12:34 PMI just noticed these lines in the config file: DisableATITextureFilterOptimizationChecks=True UseMinimalNVIDIADriverShaderOptimization=True Seems like there manufacturer specific optimizations dred7910-27-2009, 12:41 PMWell i searched the powerplay stuff but couldn't find anything Plus the case was open. this contact form
I had a buddy at work take the 9800 pro card home and try it in his brand new Dell PC. I read messages and haven't seen a FIX, but willing to try just about anything, I am about to try format HDD, but giving NG a chance first cause everything else The game is pretty demanding though. Apparently, the texture quality is important, but not determining .
still no luck. I introduced myself 10 years ago, when I was 7 ;-) ) Still locks up. Ive already updated my drivers but it didn't help.
Is this the first unreal engine game to use cel shader? Then it started again. you have to remove the stock heatsink and fan. Thanks.
Get the answer Archer01Jul 28, 2004, 8:57 PM Yeah, I ran driver erasers before installing the Catalyst 4.7 drivers. you have to have ambient occlusion OFF. I took off the case door and put a 20 inch desk fan next to it and tried it on high, and this was after I took the card apart and pdcrowley10-27-2009, 12:31 PMI had a similar problem with this card and Crysis Warhead before they released new drivers.
It has to go in one of the lower PCI slots,if one is available. This is nvidia's driver causing the error rendering Open GL, but what exactly I have no clue.
Ticked: Enable conformant Opengl texture clamp behavior. If I ctrl alt del it'll eventually come back but not before telling me my Nvidia card has suffered an error. berserkhobo10-29-2009, 11:30 AMhey i run two 4870x2's and i have been crashing since late last night however i have fixed my situation i opened ccc and whatched my heat on both ghetto card- PNY 5600FX System specs: P4 2.4 (zantec cooling) asus p4p800 deluxe 1gig corsair 3200 ram some case with 3 cooling fans 600w psu (atx compusa clone) XP os All
Borderlands ATI 4xxx series problem : You play normally for around 20 minutes or so, before the game suddenly freeze, screen goes black, and a message box from the CCC pops weblink Your 9800 is an older high performance card that requires more power and additional pixel pipelines. for older games, you might find an old set of drivers work better... I dont use XP. The big deal is my 512 ram card....they only changed to another new card and VOIALA, the pc is working perfectly! After the firmware update it runs everything great. navigate here I'm going to try running the 9.11 beta drivers (seems to have helped some people), and failing that I'll start going through the more invasive tests you're recommending.
if you have an old video card like an 8800GT laying around cause you upgraded to that new radeon card but its unstable try the old card see if its stable The only valable explanation would be a problem between OpenGL and XP, but I have doubts about it ... It actually forces me to completely restart my whole computer.
I have checked all my bios settings, and they ( as far as I can tell ) seem fine.
I know for a FACT this is NOT: 1. j3sus10-26-2009, 03:03 PMim having similar crash problems, however now its aprox 3 mins into game. If my problem is overheating and not psu would that mean that I have to add a special fan for the video card? Good card.
And now I have a new PC, and CF causes problems on some games, especially with some visual effects. Iíll write back with the results. I have found that it resets on command when I open tall lockers so as long as I dont do that I can play for a long time now. http://robotadv.com/radeon-9800/radeon-9800.html leroys1000, Nov 22, 2010 #15 Sponsor This thread has been Locked and is not open to further replies.
Help? 11-09-2003, 08:51 AMI get my OpenGL games shutting down the same way : Jedi Academy, Wolfenstein ET, Warcraft 3, Diablo 2 ... Well if i think of anything else i will add it here. not OpenGL problem for me anyway after all.. You might try installing the latest drivers after you install the 3650.
i've hadmy setup for over a year now and never had 1 game not work on it ... Thanks again. and I had to reboot the computer. It only happens in open gl and very rarely direct 3d.
Would really like a solution to this issue a lot of others seem to be having as well. I also tried to force the low level clocks using Riva Tuner to stop ATI Powerplay from switching from 2d/3d and did not have any success. But 3dmark03 also jumps out..various stages.. It is the 1 i've got here, (That didn't fit in my top slot.) Snorby, Nov 22, 2010 #7 leroys1000 Banned Joined: Aug 15, 2007 Messages: 6,319 Yes,but the one
I've had similar problems on my old GeForce card because the card didn't like my old mobo. That sucks, I never knew how many others had the same problem I have had! Just ran a test with Far Cry 2, Cores never went about 80% usually around 60% temps stayed about mid 70s. I tried reinstalling the drivers - nothing.
Please 12-05-2003, 08:19 PMI've been experiencing this problem as well. I also found that, if you DO NOT install any service packs with windows XP, the problem magically goes away.
