RAM Not Working Together?
Who killed this Forsaken in The Fires of Heaven? I have already done the testing of using the stick individually in both slots, and they seem to work, but when i put them both in, anyhwere from 512m to 1.5g The motherboard manual will usually tell you the memory configuration options. Using the site is easy and fun.

That is the reason why we always recommend buying a full kit, instead of buying a set and then later on buying another set...less chance of this happening. Motherboard Rma The last pair that I had that did this were some Apacer 1 GB DDR modules. I have a Gateway GT-5662 desktop running with 3GB of ram. The other posters are correct, the only solution is to get different RAM and try those.

We also provide an extensive Windows 7 tutorial section that covers a wide range of tips and tricks. I doubt it would need to be run at 533mhz (next step down), but you could try. Try another brand. Instant Computer freeze while working or maybe on your computers startup. I checked the specs on this board and the lowest is 400 MHz, going up to 800 MHz (some revisions of it put the minimum clock speed at 533 MHz). New mobo.

I put both ram sticks in 3 and 4, a black slot and a gray slot, and they work like a charm. I just checked your computer specs, and it appears from what I read your computer won't support over 1GB per slot. Personally I have installed 2x2GB Kingston DDR2 667MHZ SODIMM without any issue.

To check the ram usage, open your task manager by right clicking on your windows task bar and when it opens check the memory usage graph in the performance tab. Strangely, I couldn't find this Mobo on the ECS site so the specs I saw could be less accurate. Although 32 bit desktop Windows can only work with less than 4Gb RAM, some other 32bit OS which support PAE (physical address extensions) can use much more.

You have stumbled on a very strange problem... Some motherboards have slots 1-2 and 3-4 paired while other motherboards have 1-3 and 2-4 paired.
