Go right down the list, starting with the bios. so, it's basically brand new, and I *don't* have children/have never dropped or otherwise abused it. An overheating power supply, due to a malfunctioning fan, can cause a computer to shut off unexpectedly. I wasn't sure that's what had happened, I thought maybe the screen had just gone to sleep, but I had to press the power button to make anything come back. Otherwise, you need to have your computer serviced. I will try to change the memory voltage specifically tomorrow.

Did all that - had 15months of continual problems with my Asus computer - In the end Asus gave me an RMA for a full refund - just unfortunate that I have a peek at these guys You don't want to brick your laptop. Right now, I have it plugged in and Power Options reports 89% available and not charging. The problem does seem to be power related, and I was alluding to that earlier, I don't think the OP has tested the system with a different power supply yet. Problem solved. I do know I will not buy another ASUS. This will have completed a RAM reset. I changed the RAM and the 3V backup battery (which did not make any change).

I looked up every solution that I could thought possible, corrupt OS, missing reg files, etc. try installing something like realtemp (among others), to see the temperature. they problem is I recently Updated to IOS 9 on 17 Sept 15 and i worked well.
